Sunshine and Books
Tweet
Hi guys! I hope you are all enjoying the sun finally! (that is, if you live somewhere that isn’t sunny all the time like I do) I’ve been loving it! I even got into doing a little gardening hehe. Ok I went to home depot and bought hanging baskets. That totally counts as gardening right?? Well I can’t wait to get to the beach and just lay out and bake hehe. SPF 30 ftw! (for the win, it’s a WoW thing)
I just finished reading “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini for my book club. It was a very moving story. And a little disturbing at points. I don’t know enough about Afghan history to really understand what went on there, but it was very eye opening. I highly recommend the book! I’m always looking for new suggestions on books so let me know if you’ve read anything good lately!
I have something extra fun for you guys today! A video!! Woohoo. And pics too…

Hey Kate,how are you?
hey kate you look gd n all but thats not what i like about you, girl you got class that other girls don’t have and i like it.
is cool!
Hello,i don’t understand this geek business.I like the way you can post anything here.I don’t know much about games,but i know alot about lyrics.I think these sum things up perfectly;
So i went from day to day,
tho’ my life was in a rut, till i thought of what i say,
which connection i should cut, i was feeling part of the scenery, i walked right out of the machinery.
when illusions spin a net,
i’m never where i wan’t to be,
and liberty she pirouette, when i think that i am free,
watched by empty silhouettes,
who close their eyes, but still can see,
no-one taught them etiquette, i will show ANOTHER me,
today i don’t need a replacement,
i’ll tell them what the smile on my face meant!
A bit deep….but so true!
I just finished The Diamond Age or, A Young Lady’s Illustrated Primer.
As far as a geek, lets think back to Blizzards roots. Diablo and Diablo II are still, in my opinion, the best games ever made. I logged about 100 times more hours playing them on battle.net than I did on WoW. I just did not have the time to devote 5 or 6 hours a day to a game. Even when I was playing Diablo II I was not logging that many hours unless it was a weekend and raining. I love games, don’t get me wrong, but they need a nice and big MMORPG that does not require so much freaking time. A game that is to Desktop RPG’s what the Wii is to consoles. A light hearted, fun to play in little chunks MMORPG that has a system built in for not allowing the marathon player to have an edge over the casual player.
And speaking of HTML and who knows it and who doesn’t, I remember one of the first web chat rooms I was ever in, you could put HTML in the text in order to change the look of the text you were sending to people. That was where I learned HTML. That and a roommate of mine wanted to make a Backstreet Boys Fan Page so I read up on it for them. Ah the good old days back when the web was young and real audio was giving the web a voice. Now we can watch streaming video using our neighbor’s open WiFi router and not even have to pay for it if we are lucky, and if not shell out too much money to Comcast/Verizon/AT&T/etc…
So what browser do you use Kate? FireFox, IE or something else? I prefer FireFox, but IE 7 is not so bad. The place I work will not upgrade past IE 6! I hate it. Not to mention they have so many web filters on that it feels like dial up from 1995 most of the time.
But I have gone on long enough, I just got a little nostalgic and had to go on about it. Then I went stream on consciousness on you and made you wish I had never decided to comment.
Later,
Steph.
yeah u right about that KATE! Being a Gamer is like⦠COOL!
lol i meant to say, yes you are awesome kate
yes you are π
OK, Kate… you’re right. The term “geek” is obsolete.
What I meant was “uber-geek”.
Being a Gamer is certainly the best occupation in the world at this time… well, maybe second to showing your delicious supple boobies for money. Unfortunately, nobody will pay to see 80 yo 600 lb boobs that hang down to the carpet.
Oh, yeah… and fuck myspace!
Hey Kate,
Even though we all know how pretty and supple your boobies are, we would still like to hear more about them. π
Take care gorgeous.
One aspect of life that still has yet to be replicated in a video game is drug use. What if somebody created a game based on doing LSD or getting totally plastered? I think that would be great! So many crazy things happen to people when they are high on acid and/or stone drunk, it would make a great game.
…maybe 30 years ago…
Hi’ya Kate,
Being a gamer IS cool, especially considering the future. Probably within 10 years, virtual reality is going to be developed to the point where it’s high quality and relitively affordable. And after that, it’s just a matter of time before the internet starts becoming VR compatible. If it’s not already, gaming is going to become the most popular thing on the planet.
One of the things I have always found most attractive about you Kate is how classy you, and your work, are. Don’t get me wrong, I could talk about how pretty and supple your boobies are all day, but eventually it’d be refreshing to discuss something a little more substantial that shows you’re a real, complex woman and not just a walking talking picture. “Keep it real” and “Talk Hard!”
Before I finish I’ve gotta mention this: I just got an iPod nano…HOLY SHIT IS IT COOL! And FUCKIN’ TINY! I had no idea. And 4GB’s it holds! 20 years ago a computer with that kind of storage space would have literally been the size of a big house! Crazy.
P.S.
Did you see the episode of the Simpsons where Marge was playin’ a WoW knock-off? Great episode. L8R.
OK Kate, I see that the Forum is back.
I think Spunky must have screwed it up for awhile.
When will you post new vids and pics?
LuvYa
Geeky or not I dont care because your forum is fun to read. It is not always about porn rather a variety of different topics. It is just a joy to stop by and check for new posts.
I don’t know what you are talking about Pat. My forum is still very much around on my members area. It might be a little dead at times but it’s still there.
.ca domain? eh i dunno… for what? hehe
cheeto perv, pssshhht. My blog is so not “geeky”. Ok it might be a bit, but I talk about things that are of an interest to me. I don’t know what else to talk about… maybe how pretty and supple my boobies are? lol.
When you think about it the term “geek” is really obsolete. With so many people in IT jobs, kids playing video games, etc. Young people these days are all computer savvy. I blame myspace. It’s almost like everyone knows a little bit of html, a thing that was previously reserved JUST for “geeks”. World of Warcraft is so mainstream now (TV shows about it, Commercials, obscure references to it in Family guy, etc). Being a Gamer is like… COOL!
So basically… I’m awesome. π
Kate, what happened, your forum has been deleted from katesplayground website.
Are you calling it quits? Following in the footsteps of Raven?
I hope not, we’ll all miss you tons!
Hey Kate,
Ever thought of getting a “.ca” domain?
I think this may be the geekiest forum on the internet. I feel like I’m scouring through a calculus/rocket science blog.
Anyway… Sci-Fi is a fun break from classics/philosophy. If I was attracted to gents I would have totally been gay with the author Robert Jordan. He died last year of some bizarre illness, but he pumped out enough literature to keep anyone busy for awhile. His first book in the Wheel of Time series is The Eye of the World.
Anyone who reads it will find eternal happiness, fortune, fame and a beautiful dame/gent to wrap your arms around.
I love this site, but to be honest, with the depth of the blog… the photos/vids seem a little out of place, lol.
Can I tell you something kate? … Now I’m dealing with a chilean company to publish my first book. I’m so nervous.
Kisses.
My favorite book is “God Created the Integers” by Stephen Hawking. Though it’s probably not a good book for a book club… π
Hey J, Happy Anniversary!
Kate,
How you sweetie? you think you are lame at times? well this will take the cake. My friend showed me a pic of you the other day and I swear oh swear I cannot stop thinking about you. Strange but very true. sorry for being lame and little weirdo-ish but just thought id tell you cos it is eating me inside. I am from South Africa by the way. If you are ever in my part of the world I would love to buy you dinner.
anyway keep up looking as beautiful as you are.
James
William Gibson was one of the first to develop the “cyberpunk” genre, and I think he actually coined the phrase. His book Neuromancer is excellent, and when you read it you realize that the Matrix wasn’t really so fresh and the Wachowski bros lack some subtlety in “borrowing” ideas. Maybe they wanted to make it obvious enough to be clear that they were paying tribute instead of stealing, but still…Anyway, “Zion” was Gibson’s alternative and salvation from Virtuality aswell. Neuromancer was an incredibly engaging read and I highly recommend it. Later.
p.s.
keep up the stunning work! you get more beautiful with every set.
Thank u for the nice pics beautiful lady keep up the good work:) have lot funn in your career >! Ciao
Steph.
Total props for reading Snow Crash. Arguably one of the Best Sci-Fi/cyberpunk books Ever.
Kate, take her advice and pick up that book. It’s Fantastic
Thanks for the reply. I did check out the first post about 5 minutes after I posted that last one and felt kind of silly.
It is too bad that you could not find a Wii Fit. Had I known I could have sold you my extra one. I ended up with two because I was afraid I would not find it so I pre-ordered from Amazon.com and then saw one on the day they came out at a local store. So I picked it up and sold the one from Amazon, when it finally arrived a week later, to someone who works with me. I was not looking to make a profit, just sold it at the cost I paid for it, so had I known I would certainly have done the same for you. Maybe next time?
Well when you get one you will have to share the experience with us. I look VERY stupid trying to do a hula hoop, kind of like an uncoordinated pervert making a slight humping motion in the air! Had I a video of it I would certainly share it, but I am kind of glad I don’t! π
Now another question; Do you read Penny-Arcade.com?
It is great stuff, both for it’s social commentary and that fact that it ties most stuff into video games and what not. In fact they have a post that talks about a Neil Stephenson book (A Young Lady’s Illustrated Primer) here; http://www.penny-arcade.com/2008/5/30/
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Steph
Hello Kate, lovely new pics…”i dream of kate”..well,don’t we all? is there going to be a video version on kpg soon?…i do hope so!
You may have had enough book suggestions for now,but i thought i’d suggest “THE WICKER MAN”.There was a crap film re-make 2 years back, with nicolas cage. But,much like the planet of the apes re-make,best ignore that one.
The original novel and film are brilliant.Quintesential British horror.Written by Robin Hardy/Anthony shaffer.
The story is of an evangelical christian Police sergeant,(Neil Howie),who happens to be a virgin, as he doesn’t believe in sex before marriage. He recieves an anonymous letter, telling him of a young girl’s disapperance,(presumed dead) on a remote scottish island.(summerisle)
Howie goes to investigate, and discovers the islanders follow a neo-pagan cult.Believing in re-incarnation,sun-god worship and sexual magic rituals, with everyone and anyone! He finds his resolve being tested by the advances of the sexy pagans.Later,he finds out about an ancient pagan ritual about to take place on the island and believes that the girl may still be alive, and about to suffer something un-speakable.Events unfold and there’s an even more horrific outcome in store, more than anyone could imagine, with a shocking twist,THE WICKER MAN is revealed.
If you haven’t seen the film, but you decide to,make sure you watch the 1973 British version, with Christopher Lee and Edward Woodward.
If you can’t find a copy of “JACK’S RETURN HOME”..I can send you a copy to the address on kpg, where your fans send you gifts.
Sounds like interesting stuff Steph. I’ve never considered reading “cyberpunk” never even heard of it actually. So thanks for the suggestion π
Try checking my very first post back in my archives for a bit more autobiographical info. I do like to keep my private life… private for the most part though. I read Jenna Jameson’s autobiography book “how to make love like a porn star” it was really interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. But her life has certainly been exciting! Mine… Not so much haha.
I REALLY want to get wii fit! It looks like so much fun. I haven’t found it yet though.
Anonymity is next to godliness, don’t you agree?
Do you read much cyberpunk? You seem, from the two posts I have read that were not mostly about photos, like the type of girl that would enjoy it. You do like games (virtual worlds) and reading, so books about virtual worlds may work for you. There is a classic in the genre called Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. I would recommend all of his books, but from what I have read his newest books would probably bore you to tears, but Snow Crash moves fast and is an easy and fun read.
Here is a link to some info on him.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neal_Stephenson
Aside from reading books, have you ever considered doing an autobiography? I have to say I find it fascinating to read about people who live normal lives but have careers that are uncommon and sometimes looked down upon. You never really see movies like that, they always take the most spectacular parts of a persons life and make a film about it, but in books you can go on and on and bore the hell out of people and not worry about it. So if you are not considering an autobiography at all but feel like entertaining me (its all about me, of course!), try posting a bit more about who you are and not just what you do. Maybe its something you like to keep very private? I understand that, I am posting with a pseudonym and leaving you an email from Hushmail.com π
Take care, look forward to reading more about you in the future. Enjoy GTA4.
P.S. Do you have a Wii Fit? That would be a fun video to watch, nothing erotic, just you trying to do the Hula Hoop on the Wii Fit for the first time, or any time if you have it and love it like I do! π

Just wanted to say, i really love the i dream of kate set. It’s a different look, very sexy. I hope you continue to come up with new ideas. Your great, Kate!
The alchemist is beautiful =)
I actually own, and have read, The Kite Runner. I thought it might be boring at first, but after a couple pages, I enjoyed it. Like you said, there were a couple disturbing parts. The one that I always think of when I think about this book is when his friend/servant goes and gets his kite for him. But anyways, idk if you’ve read “The Wanting Seed” or “A Clockwork Orange” by Anthony Burgess yet, but I would recommend them.
p.s. love the video =D
I like “the alchemist” and “Veronika Decides to Die” of p.coelho
Ahaha that’s the problem with books like One hundred years of solitude. Or you like it so much or you hate it LOL.
I loved the book, but I know many people who hate it.
It’s the same with “Don Quijote de La Mancha”..many people loved it…Nevertheless, I hated it xD.
Someday I’ll translate things that I’ve written and I’ll send them to you.
=)
Bye
hi kate,
im totally agree with you about everything you said, even about marquez books!
actually i myself found them quite boring either!
im not a proffessional book reader like you,
shame on me! i think i have’nt read more than 30 novels in whole my life, just some persian books, only harry potter’s in english and 3or4 spanish books that’s all!
but i think im expert at movies,as you have seen a movie like kite runner im sure you’re an expert either.
now i wanna ask you what’s the best film you’ve ever seen and who are your favourite directors and actors?
thanks
ahh I have that book actually, it translates into “One hundred years of solitude”. I attempted to read it when I first bought it. But it bored me almost to death. I guess something is lost in the translation because I thought it was horrible and could not finish it. Perhaps the spanish version is much better.
I’ve heard of the movie get carter, but i’ve never seen it. Sounds like a great book I will definitely try to pick it up! Thanks π
I 100% agree with you Gumleaf!! Life of Pi is possibly my favorite book… ever! I’ve read it several times. It’s amazing. I love it!
“Life of Pi” best piece of (genuine) fiction I have read recently
hello, you are very sexy and beautiful:)
I want to tell you that generates inspiration, that my heart to see palpita with emotion
Hey Kate, comment on my post on GTA4. Hope it didn’t sound too strange, just a suggestion to fans. Btw, what’s your ancestry background? My guess is French mixed with native american or possibly mixed with some Asian too.
Hello Kate, I don’t know what genre you’re into, but if you don’t mind stories that deal with the darker side of human nature , then you should consider reading ” JACK’S RETURN HOME ” by British author Ted Lewis. The book has achieved cult status in the U.K and U.S.
Rumoured to be based on true events,it tells the story of JACK CARTER.A south London Mob enforcer, who learns of the death of his law-abiding brother Frank. The police and authorities are satisfied with the “accidental death” verdict and have closed the files.Carter is un-convinced and without the permission of his gangland boss, return’s home to the mean streets in the north of England ,to see for himself what happened.Needless to say, before long, there’s hell to pay!
The book also takes you into the seedy, murky world of massage parlours and hardcore illegal teen porn. It’s dark, violent and controversial, but on the flip side it’s also heart warming.Because despite all the obstacles in his path and no matter what they throw at him…Jack Carter refuses to let go and walk away….because of the only thing on this earth that mattered to him…his FAMILY and how much he loved them…….a lesson for us all i think!
The book was re-worked and made into a film.(get carter) and is rated by critics as one of the best British gangster films ever.If you watch the film, make sure it’s the British original and not the dire American re-make….some stories don’t travel !!
Try “Bel Ami”, by Guy de Maupassant. I read the Penguin translation of it and I really enjoyed it. I used to really like Gustave Flaubert’s novels too (I read translations of those as well). When I was a teenager, I used to love Mordecai Richler. “Cocksure” was probably my favourite of his. I was a big George Orwell fan too – “Animal Farm” was one of my faves when I was a kid and later I read “Homage to Catalonia”, which I enjoyed way more than 1984. I don’t think I have read a work of fiction since about 1994. That’s when I decided to stop reading about stuff and start doing stuff that was worth writing about.
Kate, I read the post of Ali and I found it very interesting.
I know you read “Love in the time of Cholera” and you didn’t like it, but please listen to Ali and read “Cien aΓ±os de soledad (One hundred years of loneliness)”. It’s the most known book of Garcia Marquez.
It talks about the history of a town named Macondo. But the treasure it hides is an awesome parallel biblic history. In fact, the whole book is based on biblic metaphors and analogies. It starts with the creation of Macondo (the genesis) and it finishes with the death of it (the apocalypse).
In the middle you’ll find references of the flood, the virgin’s ascension, the curses and the exodus.
It also make a great perception of incests. The whole history talks about the incest and the ancient belief of the “pig tailed sons”.
Well that’s it, I don’t want to make this be boring.
Bye
Hi ali! Thanks very much π
The movie is quite different from the book, I know because I watched it a few nights ago to see how it differed. As usual, the book is much better. Movies, in my opinion, never get it just right.
I have read only one book by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. “Love in the time of Cholera”… and well… I Hated it. I know he has won awards and all that for his writing… But I guess I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. It was a very dry, boring story for me. I’m sure all his books are different, but that one book was enough for me. Thanks very much for the suggestion though!
Your english is great by the way, no worries! π
xxoo
hi kate

im waiting for your new pics and comments.
adios mi querido!
Hello, ..i was looking at your first photo set the other day.How sweet….what are your memories of that day?
Does it feel like yesterday or just a distant dream? I must say,the photo set ( star by the pool )…well in the words of darth vader: imressive…..MOST impressive !!
AS for video’s…the new year’s eve 2007 one.How nice are you in that?…..breath taking .I do prefer the way you look now….you’re only 23…but much like a fine wine…as you mature you just keep getting better and better.!
Now as for the Kate HATER’S…the” Crying Game “..is one of my favourite films….maybe you lot should watch it.( you’ll see the difference then )…lol
Besides, your true thoughts are as plain as a Bulgarian pin up.As William Shakespeare once wrote: ” me think’s the gentleman protest too much ! ”
Just admit that you fancy her like all the rest of us.Just admit that you too think that she’s the best thing since sliced bread….you’ll feel better…then we can all sleep easy!..lol
Question: you appeared in playboy a couple of year’s back. How did that come about?…was it a career high…what was the reaction like from those around you…you would have got some more exposure…( pardon the pun )….and what other mags have you appeared in ?
I’ll tell you about an excellent novel to read next time i post. It’s called….. JACK’S RETURN HOME…Very dark, gritty and violent.
When i’m feeling blue…all i have to do…is take a look at you….Then i’m not so blue!!
bye bye
I’m currently reading “The Nausea” by Jean Paul Sartre, a philosophical book. It’s a little hard to follow.
Anyway, I really love Sartre and I love reading.
=)
I’ve recently bought too many books and I’m so excited about it. I can’t wait to read all of them, but time doesn’t flow that easy xD.
Well, I don’t think people want to hear about me, so please tell me about your reading fanatism, Kate.
=) Bye.
Kate,
Thanks for the video! π Very sexy and much appreciated! I’m not sure “Kokomo” is the hottest choice, but whatever gets the juices flowing, I suppose.
I’m not sure what to make of you being part of a book club and knowing the ins and outs of the latest video games. Are trying to earn the title of “Hottest Dork Alive”? Think you’d have a shot at that one if you audition…
I haven’t had a chance to read much more than magazines lately, but the TV show “Lost” ties classic novels into its mythology nearly every week. If you like allegories, “Watership Down” is an epic tale about a warren of rabbits that escapes the destruction of their home. It was also mentioned in “Donnie Darko,” so it must be good. π Let me know how it is if you read it — I’m looking for something short. I did read “1984” recently, which was excellent, but I’m sure a prodigious reader like yourself has already read and re-read that classic.
Anyway, stay dorky!
— Jay
Nice! That vid has just earned you another half-cup of spooge. Thanks.
Have you ever read “Geek Love” by Katherine Dunn? Its not the kind of geek that loves “Star Wars”, but the kind that bites heads off chickens at sideshows. Its a really good read and I think you’d really like it. Great video, just unfortunate that it ends so soon. Is that an old video? I think I recall the “Yellow and Pink” picture collection from months ago. Classic Kate is always fun to look back on. Oh do you use a HI Def camera? Since I’ve noticed that your recent videos now have that widescreen look. The pics are looking sweet. You look like a punk rock nurse.
XOXO
Always your fan, Midnight
