Happy New Year!!!
I must be the lamest girl in the world because I fell asleep reading a book at 10pm last night! lol!!! Ah, I’m really not your average 23 year old I guess. I just didn’t feel like going out and getting drunk for new years eve. So I went to my sisters house for a little bit and hung out and then I came home and curled up in bed with my book club book 🙂 Oh well, I don’t really care. It’s just another day. But I hope you all did something a little more exciting than me haha.
Have a great 2008 guys! I look forward to another great year at KPG! I hope you like all the new pictures and videos I have coming your way 🙂

Dodge makes a truck that uses the same V-10 engine as the Viper so it is not unlikely that you could find an automatic tranny built for the truck and get somebody to drop it in a Viper for you. That would cost several thousand dollars to do, but if it makes you happy, then it can’t be that bad. Happy V-Day!
Greg I used to love Vipers! I was totally going to buy one until I realized that I would never be able to drive it haha. I can NOT drive stick. I’m terrible at it hehe. 🙂

haha no thats awesome Jay. I’m glad you wrote all that. Interesting stuff. I obviously have the American version of the book as I don’t remember that at all. I like that version better though, it’s more true to life imo.

Here’s the scoop on the final chapter of “A Clockwork Orange” (Spoiler alert):
Anthony Burgess intended the novel to have 21 chapters, in 3 sets of 7. He was really into symmetry in his work, and felt it was important that the numbering and arrangement of chapters reflect important stages of Alex’s life. All three sections start with the line “What’s it going to be then, eh?,” but each time, the phrase is uttered by a different character and its meaning changes drastically.
The original British version had 21 chapters, but the American editor removed the final one because he thought it was too much of an unbelievable “happy ending” and felt Alex’s actions were out of character. In it, Alex forms a new gang of droogs after having the Ludovico treatment reversed, but soon grows tired of raping and pillaging. Unhappy with his life, he goes to the old Milk Bar where he sees an old droogie of his, but now with a wife. His old droog has matured and is now embarrassed to be seen in public with Alex. After his droog leaves abruptly, Alex longingly imagines himself with a wife, and pictures raising a son to question authority like he did.
I’m not sure which version was released in Canada, but the movie (although directed by a Brit, Stanley Kubrick), was based on the shorter American version in which Alex’s conditioning was reversed and he resumes thinking evil thoughts. To me, it sounds like Kubrick wasn’t aware of the British version when he first started filming, and once told about it, didn’t like it that much.
Personally, I like the full version better. Alex willingly decides to change his behavior, which is the only way he can be reformed, not by being forced to “do good” or to “think good thoughts” against his will.

ok is it just me… or does that just sound WAY dirty. Another great wintertime destination is Ottawa, ON. Go in the first week of February and you can check out Winterlude, a huge winter festival based around skating on the frozen Rideau Canal. After you spend a couple of nights in Ottawa, you can take the train 180 km east to Montreal and hang out with Carol Cox, the ‘original internet amateur’. She has had a hardcore porn site online since at least 1997. She runs a pan-continental swingers network and she LOVES lesbian and anal sex. If you are lucky, you will be able to attend one of her huge sex raves in a local nightclub.

I have been here for about three weeks now and I am loving it. Drive down the coast to La Paz. It’s gorgeous. It should take you about 6 days from Vancouver if you take your time. I drove down from Ottawa and it was totally worth it. Buy the Lonely Planet guidebook before you leave. It has all the info you need.

Something like that. The last chapter was written by Anthony Burgess, and it was left out in the US editions by publishers. So when Stanley Kubrick made his movie, the last chapter was never in it. As far as I remember, Burgess was REAL pissed off about it.
Basically, the last chapter completley changes the entire book. It’s a pretty good read, and not the ending you should expect.
It’s nice to see some people still enjoy doing things with their family! So many people want to grow up, and get away from family. Hanging out with friends, and going to parties can be fun. But i think you should always have close relationship with family. But enough of that stuff, i hope you are having a good year so far! Your a sweetheart, Kate!

I cant remember if i have read the 21st chapter or not. i know the book is different depending on when it was printed or where or something like that. wasnt the 21st chapter something his publisher made him write and he was really pissed about it cause he didnt want the book to end that way?
I havent had my back piercing for a few years now… but i never took it out while i had it. it was really painful. i loved the look of it but it rejected so i had to take it out eventually, which sucked and it was super icky looking at the end. and now i just have a scar haha.
as for fun… hm i dunno. i dont party much or anything like that. I like to do stuff with my family, see movies, go out for dinner. Things like that 🙂
